Charles E. Lundberg has been a member of Bassford Remele for more than 30 years, practicing primarily as a "lawyer's lawyer" -- advising attorneys and law firms on matters involving legal malpractice, legal ethics, and other areas of the law of lawyering. He served for twelve years on the Minnesota Lawyers Professional Responsibility Board, including six years as Board Chair.
He also devotes much of his time to appeals and has been recognized as one of the leading appellate attorneys in Minnesota and elected as a Fellow in the American Academy of Appellate Lawyers -- an invitation-only group of outstanding lawyers whose practice focuses substantially on appeals.
Mr. Lundberg has repeatedly been recognized as a Top 100 Super Lawyer and has been named a Top 10 Appellate Super Lawyer. For many years, he has been selected as a Leading American Attorney and one of the Best Lawyers in America in the fields of Appellate Law and Legal Malpractice Law. This year, The Best Lawyers in America named Mr. Lundberg the Minneapolis Legal Malpractice Law - Defendants Lawyer of the Year for 2013. In 2002, he was featured as one of Minnesota Lawyer's Attorneys of the Year and he received the Minnesota State Bar Association Professional Excellence Award in 2005.
* * * * *In-House Ethics Program: Mr. Lundberg has created an in-house CLE program for law firms to help their lawyers satisfy CLE ethics requirements in an in-house or firm retreat setting. The program is specifically tailored to address the types of conflicts or other problems that arise in each firm's unique practice areas.
* * * * *Academia: For the last several years, Mr. Lundberg has served as an adjunct professor at the University of St. Thomas Law School. Most recently, he is teaching a class in Legal Malpractice Law. He previously was an adjunct professor at William Mitchell College of Law, and also serves as a Guest Lecturer at the University of Minnesota Law School.
