Kerri Nelson is a shareholder, focusing her practice in insurance coverage. Kerri regularly advises clients on coverage issues and represents insurers in litigation. She also practices in the areas of complex business litigation and employment law, often advising clients on human resource issues.

Kerri currently serves on the Communications Committee for the Minnesota Chapter of the Federal Bar Association. She is also an active member of the Hennepin County Bar Association, currently serving on the Board of Directors and as Chair Emeritus of the association’s Civil Litigation Section. Kerri also serves on the Communications Committee for the Federal Bar Association and on the Board of Directors of Free-Daptive Divers, a nonprofit organization that provides scuba diving opportunities for persons with disabilities.

Kerri graduated magna cum laude from William Mitchell College of Law, where she served as assistant editor of the William Mitchell Law Review and participated in the law school’s Civil Litigation Clinic. Kerri received her undergraduate degree cum laude from Gustavus Adolphus College.

Fischer v. Minneapolis Public Schools, 16 F. Supp. 3d 1012 (D. Minn. 2014) (obtained summary judgment in client’s favor in employment dispute).

Schulz v. Prigge, et al., No. 55-CV-2111 (Olmsted Cnty. Minn. 2012) (obtained summary judgment on behalf of counterclaim defendant against claims of defamation, breach of contract, and statutory lien).

Perrine v. Fix, No. (Washington Cnty. Minn.) (obtained summary judgment for third-party defendant in personal injury action in district court).

Wattenhofer v. Sigler, No. 02-CV-09-3602 (Anoka Cnty. Minn. 2010) (obtained dismissal of over two-thirds of plaintiff’s claimed potential damages through partial summary judgment and motions in limine; first-chaired jury trial in district court before the Honorable Tammi Fredrickson from August 24, 2010 to August 27, 2010).
