Cecilie Loidolt is a shareholder with more than 24 years of experience defending medical providers.  She has tried over 45 medical cases to a jury and has handled many high-exposure medical malpractice cases, including claims of birth injury and cerebral palsy.  She has successfully obtained justice for her clients who have been wrongfully accused of malpractice.  Ms. Loidolt recently successfully obtained a verdict in her client’s favor in a claim of “birth injury,”  in which it was claimed that the fetal heart rate monitor showed abnormalities during labor which were indications for an earlier c-section; and that an anoxic injury occurred in the last hour before birth, severe enough to cause severe global hypoxic ischemic encephalopathy and cerebral palsy.  Plaintiff’s counsel requested a verdict in excess of $17 million; $15.8 million of which was for future life care costs.

Ms. Loidolt is a 2012 recipient of the Minnesota Lawyer of the Year award, presented by Minnesota Lawyer, in part for her successful defense of medical providers in a wrongful death claim involving emergency room care provided to an eight-month old baby whose parents had not had him properly vaccinated.  Ms. Loidolt is regularly selected to Super Lawyers lists, published by Super Lawyers Magazine, in the category of medical malpractice defense.  The same publication has selected her to the Minnesota Top 100 attorney list and to the Minnesota Top 50 Women attorney list.  In 2013, Super Lawyers Magazine featured her in the article, "The Gunslinger, the Bulldog or the Pit Bull," which highlighted Ms. Loidolt’s dedication, loyalty to her clients, tenacity, and determination in obtaining justice for her clients.

Since 2010, Ms. Loidolt has been listed in the Best Lawyers in America© in the area of medical malpractice.  She has a Martindale-Hubbell AV Preeminent® rating.  Ms. Loidolt is a Fellow in the Litigation Counsel of America (LCA), a co-founder of the LCA’s American Association for Medical Malpractice Lawyers, and is a member of both the Trial Law Institute and the Diversity Law Institute.  She was recently interviewed by the LCA about her career as a medical malpractice and health care litigator, her thoughts on diversity and equal pay, and more. Ms. Loidolt regularly presents to lawyers and doctors on the issues of medical malpractice litigation.

She has been married to Major General Neal Loidolt for 24 years.  Major General Loidolt currently serves as the Division Commander of the 34th infantry division of the National Guard.  He proudly served two tours in Baghdad and Basra, Iraq, in 2006, and 2009 - 2010.  They have one son, and enjoy their family time together.
