Charles Lundberg Elected to the American Academy of Appellate Lawyers

Bassford Remele is pleased to announce that Shareholder Charles E. Lundberg was elected as a Fellow in the American Academy of Appellate Lawyers at the Academy's recent meeting. The American Academy of Appellate Lawyers was founded in 1990 to recognize outstanding appellate lawyers and promote the improvement of appellate advocacy and the administration of the appellate courts. To be eligible for membership, a nominee's practice must have focused substantially on appeals during at least the last 15 years. Membership in the Academy is by invitation only and U.S. membership is limited to 500.
Mr. Lundberg has handled hundreds of appeals and is recognized as one of the state's top appellate attorneys. In addition to more than 25 years of experience in appellate law, Mr. Lundberg is a “lawyer’s lawyer,” advising attorneys and law firms on matters involving legal malpractice, legal ethics and other aspects of the law of lawyering. He served for twelve years on the Minnesota Lawyers Professional Responsibility Board, the last six of those years as Board Chair.
Mr. Lundberg has been named a “Top 100 Super Lawyer,” “Top 10 Appellate Super Lawyer,” a Leading American Attorney in the fields of Civil Appellate Law and Professional Malpractice, and an “Attorney of the Year.” In recognition of his outstanding efforts to advance the legal profession and the administration of justice, Mr. Lundberg received both the Minnesota State Bar Association Professional Excellence Award (2005) and the Hennepin County Bar Association Professionalism Award (2004). Mr. Lundberg currently serves as an adjunct professor at the University of St. Thomas Law School, and previously taught at William Mitchell College of Law.
