Mark Whitmore Authors Article on Negligent Credentialing

The William Mitchell College of Law Journal of Law & Practice recently published an article by Bassford Remele Shareholder Mark R. Whitmore. The article "A Survivor's Guide to Larson v. Wasemiller: An Aid to Eliminating Reversible Error in Managing Negligent Credentialing Claims Under Minnesota Law" addresses the significant trial implications arising from the Minnesota Supreme Court's recent decision recognizing negligent credentialing as a cause of action under Minnesota law. The article is intended to provide trial courts and attorneys involved in negligent credentialing cases with a practical guide for litigating these cases.

Mr. Whitmore has successfully tried cases in federal and state courts throughout the upper midwest involving a wide range of areas including medical malpractice, commercial and employment disputes, and personal injury. Although he handles a wide range of matters, much of his practice focuses on defending medical malpractice claims and providing guidance to area hospitals on risk management, claim prevention and governmental investigations. This practice extends to the representation of doctors, nurses and other professionals in matters pending before the Minnesota licensing boards. He currently serves as Bassford Remele's Chief Operating Officer/Managing Partner.
