Brian Sande, Jessica Williams and Mark Bradford to Speak at Insurance Coverage Litigation Seminar

Bassford Remele Lawyers Brian H. Sande, Jessica Schulte Williams, and Mark R. Bradford will present at the National Business Institute's Insurance Coverage Litigation seminar on October 18, 2007 in Bloomington, Minnesota. Mr. Sande and Ms. Williams will present "Analysis of Common Types of Insurance Coverage Disputes," with an emphasis on complex coverage issues concerning commercial property and homeowners' policies, commercial general liability policies, and claims-made policies. Mr. Bradford will present "Bad Faith Litigation," examining a variety of issues pertaining to bad faith litigation including bifurcation issues, discovery disputes, and recent developments under Minnesota law.
Mr. Sande is a shareholder practicing primarily in complex insurance coverage and commercial litigation matters. Prior to joining Bassford Remele, he was a partner at the Rider Bennett firm in Minneapolis, and an Assistant Attorney General for the State of Minnesota. Mr. Sande is a summa cum laude graduate of William Mitchell College of Law, and received his B.A. from St. John's University. He is a member of both the Minnesota and Wisconsin Bar Associations, and practices before both state and federal district courts in those jurisdictions. He also has handled appellate matters in Minnesota and Wisconsin's state courts of appeals and supreme courts, and before the Seventh and Eighth Circuit U.S. Courts of Appeals. Mr. Sande is a member of the Insurance Law Committees of the Defense Research Institute and the Minnesota Defense Lawyers Association, and will be the co-chair of the MDLA insurance committee in 2008. He has authored numerous publications and has presented at seminars concerning insurance coverage matters.
Ms. Williams practices in all areas of civil litigation, including insurance coverage, employment, product liability defense, toxic tort litigation and personal injury. She received her her J.D. with high distinction from the University of Iowa College of Law and her B.A. magna cum laude from Carleton College. Ms. Williams is a member of the Hennepin County, Minnesota State and American Bar Associations, as well as a member of the Minnesota Defense Lawyers Association and the Minnesota Women Lawyers.
Mr. Bradford practices primarily in the areas of insurance coverage and appeals. He received his J.D. summa cum laude from DePaul University College of Law and his B.A. cum laude from Beloit College. Mr. Bradford is a member of the Hennepin County, Minnesota State and American Bar Associations, as well as a member of the Minnesota Defense Lawyers Association and the Defense Research Institute.
