Bassford Remele Visitor COVID Protocols

Bassford Remele (Firm) is committed to providing a safe and healthy workplace for employees, as well as our clients and visitors (Visitors) and has implemented the following protocols for Visitors to the Firm.

Mandatory Vaccine Policy

Based on guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and federal and public health officials, the Firm has implemented a Mandatory Vaccination Policy (Policy) for all Firm employees. This Policy is a key part of the Firm’s overall strategy and commitment to maintaining a safe and healthy workplace during the COVID-19 pandemic. This Policy is designed for use together with, and not as a substitute for, other COVID-19 prevention measures and protocols that are in place at the Firm and are regularly updated based on CDC recommendations and public health information.

Visitors to the Firm for a meeting, deposition, mediation, or other legal proceeding will need to provide proof of vaccination or be required to wear a mask while at the Firm’s office. Proof of vaccination must be in the form of a certification from the vaccine administrator or a CDC-issued vaccine card and include the vaccination place and date of the vaccine. A copy of the CDC-issued vaccine card or an electronic screen shot from the individual’s medical provider records website are both acceptable as proof of vaccine. The Firm will not maintain copies of a Visitor’s proof of vaccine; any proof sent to the Firm via email will be confirmed, and then the email will be moved to the recipient user’s Deleted items email box for final deletion from the Firm’s email system.

Definition of “Fully Vaccinated”

For purposes of this Policy, the Firm is following the CDC guidelines: people are considered fully vaccinated for COVID-19 2 weeks after they have received the second dose in a 2-dose series (Pfizer or Moderna vaccine) or 2 weeks after they received a single-dose vaccine (Johnson & Johnson).

Masks in the Office

Employees and visitors are strongly encouraged to wear a mask in meeting settings to help limit the spread of COVID-19 and its variants, which often spread more easily from one person to another. Several Bassford employees live with a person who is at increased risk for severe disease from COVID-19 and many have young children who are not eligible for a vaccine, and the same is true for visitors to the Firm.

Other COVID Protocols

Visitors are asked to practice hygiene etiquette while at the Firm. Hand sanitizer, tissues and extra masks are available throughout the Firm. Physical distancing requirements have been lifted by the City of Minneapolis and the State of Minnesota, but Visitors are asked to be mindful of closeness to others.

Notwithstanding vaccination status or masking, all Firm employees and Visitors must demonstrate respect, tolerance, and kindness of others’ choices.

Visitors Who Have Had COVID Exposure

Fully vaccinated Visitors who have come into close contact with someone with COVID-19 should be tested 3-5 days following the date of their exposure and should wear a mask while at the Firm unless they have received a negative test result. Regardless of vaccine status, if a Visitor or a person in his/her household is exhibiting COVID symptoms, he/she should not come to the Firm’s office.

Thank you for your cooperation in the implementation of these health safety procedures.
