Bassford Remele Shareholders David Camarotto and Janine Loetscher recently received a defense verdict in a jury trial venued in Dakota County District Court. The construction defect lawsuit alleged that the firm’s client, a general contractor, breached its construction contract and negligently performed its remediation work on Plaintiff’s home. Plaintiff also alleged breach of warranties and negligent and fraudulent misrepresentation, and sought damages of $200,000. The jury made a finding of no liability and returned a verdict in favor of defendant on all counts, and further awarded defendant the full amount of its counterclaims for breach of contract and equitable claims.
