Bassford Remele continued its monthly “DEI Awareness Event” initiative that promotes awareness of diverse cultures and perspectives. The program highlights ways the firm can support the community through cultural awareness. In addition to discussing timely topics, food is catered through local minority-owned businesses.
Bassford DEI Team members J. Scott Andresen and Timothy Greenfield led a firm luncheon and discussion about the Emancipation Proclamation. As part of the Firm’s initiative to support minority-owned businesses, attendees also enjoyed lunch from Soul Bowl. Soul Bowl was born in November 2017 in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Brittney and Gerard Klass wanted to use soul food to change the narrative of North Minneapolis by bringing people together to celebrate the North Minneapolis culture and community. Soul Bowl is soul food reimagined for the urban millennial by Chef Gerard Klass. By using unique flavors and modern techniques, he presents the soul food from his childhood in a flavorful, healthy, and eye-catching way.
Bassford Remele proudly serves as local and national counsel for many major corporations and Fortune 500 Companies and is a go-to litigation firm representing local, national, and international clients in state and federal courts across the region.
