Bassford Remele's Consumer Law Defense Practice Group Co-Chair Patrick Newman was elected Secretary/Treasurer of the Great Lakes Credit and Collection Association ("GLCCA") at its annual meeting. Founded in 2016 as a merger of the Illinois, Minnesota and Wisconsin affiliates of ACA International, Inc., the Association of Credit and Collection Professionals, GLCCA is the largest regional unit of credit and collection professionals in the United States.

Patrick Newman is a commercial litigator who defends members of the financial services industry. He regularly represents credit and collection professionals, repossession agents, background screeners, lenders, and fintech companies against consumer-protection lawsuits, including class actions. Patrick is the MAP State Compliance Chair for Wisconsin. He is licensed in Minnesota and Wisconsin.
