Alan Silver Honored with 2021 Minnesota ICON Award

Alan Silver has received the 2021 Minnesota ICON Award from Minnesota Lawyer. The ICON Award recognizes individuals with proven success throughout a lengthy and accomplished career. The honorees are leaders in their field who have been active in their communities and in mentoring the next generation. Al’s years of achievement, keen ability to lead, succeed in the courtroom, and inspire others contributed to his selection. Al’s feature in Minnesota Lawyer can be found here.
Al is a trial lawyer with more than four decades representing clients in business and commercial litigation. He is a go-to litigator in the area of trust and estate litigation and routinely represents professional fiduciaries, individual trust and estate beneficiaries, as well as some of the wealthiest families in the state when they are faced with large and complicated cases with far-reaching implications. Al has been involved in many of the most high-profile trust and estate lawsuits in Minnesota that have served to define the law in that area.
Al is a Fellow of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel, has been named the Minneapolis Trust and Estates Litigation Lawyer of the Year in 2016 by Best Lawyers, and has received the Sidney Barrows Lifetime Commitment Award from the Twin Cities Cardozo Society in 2015.
