Overview

Mr. Camarotto litigates and consults on construction, products liability, and general liability disputes, including catastrophic injury, wrongful death, and commercial and motor vehicle claims.

Mr. Camarotto regularly represents corporations, individuals, and insurers in litigation involving catastrophic loss, construction, contract, and products claims. His clients include insurance companies, self-insured entities, and third-party administrators in general liability matters involving wrongful death and injury, commercial and motor vehicle, and products claims. Mr. Camarotto defends developers, contractors and trade groups in construction defect claims, contractual and indemnity disputes, and additional insured litigation.

Mr. Camarotto serves on Bassford Remele's Board of Directors. As former chair of the firm's Associate Development Committee, Mr. Camarotto participated in the creation of programs that foster business development and other growth opportunities for the firm’s associate attorneys.

Representative Cases

Represented general contractor in a construction defect claim alleging negligent work and abandonment of project. Obtained defense verdict.

Obtained a defense verdict for a health care client in a premises claim alleging damages of more than $1 million.

Obtained a voluntary dismissal of all claims against a developer and general contractor client for alleged negligent construction practices leading to the damage of a neighboring building and property.

Successfully opposed subpoenas for telecommunications client’s customers’ personal information, which contributed to the investigation and sanctions of purported “porn trolling” litigants.

Defended and resolved driver of vehicle involved in accident resulting in catastrophic injuries and multiple fatalities.

Seibert v. Amateur Athletic Union of U.S., Inc., 422 F. Supp. 2d 1033 (D. Minn. 2006).

Alwin v. St. Paul Saints Baseball Club, Inc., 672 N.W.2d 570 (Minn. App. 2003).
