Mr. Zumbach focuses his practice on real property litigation. Mr. Zumbach has represented clients with matters regarding purchase and sale agreements, commercial and residential leases, adverse possession, design and construction defects, quiet title claims, and easements. He also practices consumer law, including RESPA/TILA/FCRA defense and other mortgage-based litigation.

Before joining Bassford Remele, Mr. Zumbach practiced at a law firm in central Minnesota where he gained significant experience representing clients in litigation and ADR. Before entering practice, he served as a Bridge Fellow for the Minnesota Court of Appeals for the Honorable Carol A. Hooten. He also served as a law clerk for the Honorable Kathryn L. Quaintance at the Fourth Judicial District. Mr. Zumbach graduated from the University of Minnesota Law School. During law school, he worked as a research assistant for Professors Judith T. Younger and Morris Kleiner. He also worked as a certified student attorney at the law school’s Low Income Tax Clinic, representing clients before the Internal Revenue Service and the Minnesota Department of Revenue.

Mr. Zumbach was among the panel of critical readers for the 4th edition of Bryan Garner’s Modern American Usage. He is a volunteer for the Just Deeds project, which helps homeowners remove discriminatory covenants. Mr. Zumbach is recognized as a Minnesota State Bar Association North Star Lawyer and serves on the Bassford Remele Pro Bono Committee. In addition, Mr. Zumbach is a member and supporter of various sporting organizations, including the Minnesota Deer Hunters Association, the National and Minnesota Trappers Associations, and the U.S. Concealed Carry Association.
