Bassford Remele proudly congratulates shareholder Jennifer S. Bovitz on her appointment as a District Court Judge in Minnesota’s Tenth Judicial District by Governor Tim Walz.

During her distinguished career at Bassford Remele, she has been a trusted advisor and accomplished trial and appellate lawyer. Her practice focused on medical and legal professional liability, health care litigation, and professional responsibility matters. She also served as Associate General Counsel for the firm. Known for her integrity, fairness, and deep understanding of ethics in the legal profession, Jennifer also served as Managing Attorney at the Minnesota Office of Lawyers Professional Responsibility, where she investigated and litigated attorney discipline and reinstatement matters. Her previous public service includes serving as a prosecutor.

A respected leader in the legal community, Jennifer has shared her deep knowledge as a frequent CLE presenter and ethics columnist, as well as adjunct faculty at Mitchell Hamline School of Law. Beyond her professional accomplishments, she has demonstrated an enduring commitment to public service through community involvement, including coaching mock trial teams, mentoring law students, volunteering with Friends in Need Food Shelf, and serving on local advisory boards.
