Bassford Remele shareholder Cecilie M. Loidolt received a jury defense verdict in a medical malpractice trial. Plaintiff alleged negligent failure to diagnosis a post total knee arthroplasty complication resulting in pain and suffering, and the need for a revision surgery. The jury returned a verdict in favor of the defendant orthopedic surgeon and his clinic in less than an hour of deliberations.
Cecilie M. Loidolt received a jury defense verdict in another medical malpractice trial. In this case, plaintiff alleged that the defendants negligently performed a laminectomy and discectomy resulting in cauda equina syndrome, and permanent neurological injury. Plaintiff’s counsel asked the jury for $3 million in damages. The jury returned a verdict in favor of the defendant orthopedic surgeon and his clinic in less than an hour of deliberations.
